Our shop is a carpentry cooperative in Comala, Colima, called El Colaboratorio. Every piece in this collection is made there by hand, from the finest hardwoods, using traditional joinery techniques. Some are singular works; others are produced in small quantities. We build custom cabinetry for homes, businesses, and hospitality spaces.
We believe the most meaningful way to honor a finite and valuable natural resource is to make something exceptional from it. Longevity is central to how we understand sustainability—a table should last many more years than it took the tree it came from to mature. And sustaining the craft itself means paying our makers well and creating real opportunities for others to learn these techniques and build a life from them.
These are not objects designed to be replaced. They are made to be kept—used daily, repaired when needed, and handed down.
We do not make many things. We make singular things of exceptional quality.
To learn more about the cooperative behind the collection—our philosophy, educational programs, and the people at the bench—we invite you to visit the El Colaboratorio website.
